Optimist Youth Baseball is affiliated with the nationally recognized PONY league, following their rules with slight modifications to accomodate the Optimists participation rules. Players that sign up through the club are placed on teams by school areas and coaches are required to play all players in every game. We will be sending All Star teams to World Series qualifying tournaments!

The recreational league is open to players from all over the area and coaches can bring in their own players, however players can also be assigned to teams based on availability. All games are currently played either at Senter Park, which are Optimist run fields located at 310 E. 3rd at Mary Street, or at Randol Mill Park, located at 1901 W Randol Mill.

We offer a recreational leage broken into 4 divisions following the Pony traditional age key as outlined below:

In addition, 13 and 14 year olds (Pony division) play in the Pony Elite league. This is an inter-city league comprised of select teams from all around the western Metroplex. Half of the games will be played right here in Arlington - Randol Mill Park, located at 1901 W Randol Mill. The other half of the games will be played in neighboring cities.
