Every spring, a track & field event is held at Maverick Stadium, University of Texas-Arlington. Boys compete for half the day and girls the other half. Groups are divided by grade level for competition. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals are awarded as well as fourth through sixth place ribbons. Everyone receives a Participation Ribbon. School team trophies are awarded for 4x100 M relay teams and tug-of-war teams when all team members are from the same school. Events are divided into two categories, Speed and Power.
