Each jumper will have two chances to make their best jump for distance. An adjustable allowance by grade will be made for scratch determination. See map for location of Long Jump in BLUE

Ball Throw:
This event is a lighter version of the javelin throw, i.e. a softball is thrown instead. Each thrower is given three chances to make their best throw for distance. See map for location of Ball Throw in Gold

Speed Obstacle Course:
This event is a series of obstacles designed to slow the runners by forcing them to negotiate the obstacles. Some of the obstacles are a test of agility, balance, and coordination. If an obstacle is by-passed or failed, penalty points are given to the runner. Penalty points are additional seconds added to the runner's finishing time. The lowest total time determines the winner. See map for location of Obstacle Course in Dark Blue Box

This event has two weight classes. The 3rd & 4th grades put a 6 pound shot and the 5th & 6th grades put a 9 pound shot. If the putter is not trained for a more advanced technique, then the putter will be required to use the straight put technique. See map for location of Shot Put in Brown

The first wrestler to leave the circle is the loser. The wrestlers have a mazimum of two minutes to decide the match. A tie is a loss for both wrestlers. There is no hitting, kicking, knocking down, throwing down, or pinning. This an even of strength, agility, and skill. See map for location of Wrestling at White Circles

Team Tug-of-War:
