The Optimist International Junior Golf Championships (OIJGC) is one of the largest and most prestigious events for junior golfers ages 10-18. Each year over 5,000 young people from the United States and Canada compete in qualifying tournaments and over 650 players from 25 countries participate in the championship event.

Qualification to participate in the championship event begins at the district level. The Optimist Jr. Golf Qualifying Tournament for the North Texas District will be held on June 21 at the Corsicana Country Club in Corsicana Texas.
