Our club proudly presents over $10,000 in college tuition scholarships each year. Students planning to attend UTA in Arlington may want to apply for one of the Gary Burton Scholarships offered by the Optimist Club of Arlington. Funding is guaranteed by the Arlington Youth Endowment Fund, a 501(c)3 corporation which was set up to serve the youth of Arlington through support of the Optimist Club of Arlington. One senior from each public high school in Arlington is awarded a $1500 scholarship to the University of Texas at Arlington or Tarrant County College. Applications are available at each high school counselors' office in February.

Optimist scholarships worth $500 each are also awarded to High School students at the Youth Appreciation Week Banquet in November. Winners of these scholarships are chosen by their respective school administrators.
