Youth Appreciation Week

Each November the Optimist Club of Arlington joins other clubs around the world in celebrating the good youth in each of our communities. Culminating the week is a banquet honoring a high school and junior high student from each of the public schools in Arlington. The student is chosen by the school administration and is accompanied by his or her parents and the school's principal. The high school students are each presented a $500 scholarship to be used at the college of their choice and the junior high students receive a gift and plaque honoring their selection.
